How Linda Finds Missing Animals
"When I am consulted to help find a dog, cat or other animal that is missing, I enter a meditative state and make a connection with the lost animal. I ask how it got lost, and give it reassurance that its owners are working to find it. Looking out through the dog or cat's eyes, I get clues about its surroundings. When I give the owners "directions" and tell them what to look for, they are often reunited with the animal they love.
"Last year was chock full of missing pet calls. Each time, I asked the dog or cat to share visual impressions of their surroundings, in hopes that I could direct the owners to find them. One lost cat wanted its owners to walk to the middle of a hay field, sit quietly and wait for it... then it would come to them. Another sent puzzling images of a mailbox and an elephant that made absolutely no sense to me. Fortunately, its owners were able to sort it out - and they were all reunited.
"This is always a very interesting experience. Sometimes the pet is not truly lost, but on a personal retreat of sorts, totally unaware that their humans have become concerned. When I told "Bulldog", a bobtail cat, that his folks were worried about him, he told me he was in the barn, lying up a tummy ache from something he ate - not serious, but uncomfortable.
"Bulldog wanted to stay in the barn a few more hours, but humored me by taking a moment to go the the house and let his people know he was OK. Then, he stomped straight back to the barn!
"When people called me about a dog they found by the river, I distance-spoke with it to establish how it came to be there, what its home situation and people were like, and what caused it to go astray so far from home.

"Sadly, not all missing animal consultations end happily. Sometimes, especially when the animal's been lost for a few days before I'm called, it's too late - when I make contact and speak with the creature's spirit, it's already moved on to the next world. Sometimes it can show us where to find its remains - sad, but it grants closure to the loving owners.
"While I can't guarantee absolute 100% success in recovering lost dogs and cats, I seem to have an intuitive knack for seeking them out, speaking with them, and bringing them back. I don't need to travel to where the animal is - I can send the owners, with the information and clues they need."
Rates for Consultations to Help Find Lost Animals
Linda S. Wahlund's base fee for lost animal consultations is $75.00.
For most cases, this is usually all it takes to achieve a successful resolution.
In extraordinary cases, additional fees may apply at $20 per 15 minutes.
If your companion animal is missing, don't waste time! Call your humane society and local animal shelter. Make up "REWARD" posters with good, clear photos of your pet. Post them on phone poles, at pet stores and the vet's office. Go door to door in your neighborhood, someone may have seen your pet. Take out "Lost" ads in the classifieds. Most important, improve your odds - have ID and license tags on your pet. Extra credit for microchipping your animals!
